Reading: Story Elements and Structure in Multiple Genres.
Writing: Poetry, Drama, and Performance.
Science: Rocks and Minerals.
Social Studies: Colonial America.

It's that time of year again and I’m looking forward to a great year working with your children.
A few housekeeping notes:
Students will be getting homework on a regular basis. Homework is always due the following day. If you find your child working on homework for more than 45 minutes to an hour, it is much too long. Please have your child stop working and send me a note that he or she did work on it, along with what was completed.
Our specials are as follows: Monday-Library 2:00 - 2:45; Tuesday-Art 8:55-9:45; Wednesday-Computer 9:50-10:40; Thursday-Music 1:05-1:55; Friday- PE 10:30-11:20.
Spelling packets will go home on Mondays and will be due on Friday of the following week. Our bi-weekly spelling words are online at: www.spellingcity.com/toddforster/
If there are any problems at all please don’t hesitate to call me at home. I would much prefer to take care of an “Unhappy Child” situation right away. Quite often it is just a matter of misunderstanding and can be taken care of quickly and easily. My email is: tforster@ledyard.net, and school is 464-2780. Again, please don’t hesitate to call.
